EWRRC Events Update
Community driven, locally inspired, activities designed for you to connect, access and grow in your neighborhood.

Join us for Kids Dayz of Winter!

Running for 4 days this year, we offer a time for kids to get out of the house and get their minds and bodies moving over the school break in a place where they can play games, make wintercentric crafts and just have FUN!

Kids under 5 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. For more information please contact Nita at 599-3944

Please Mark your calendars! The EWRRC will be closed December 25 and January 1st.

This community has many champions; folks from all walks of life have contributed to make East Whatcom a stronger and more vibrant place to live, to play, to work, and raise a family. Each month we would like to say thank you to one particular person who steadfastly shows up, supports and works to make our community more equitable, healthier, and ultimately, a wonderful place to nurture future generations.

Cheryl Thompson is one of those people you are glad to know are part of a community. She cares. And more than this, she wraps this care around projects which make a difference. Today, was an opportunity to see her in action at the resource center pulling together along with other volunteers to ensure the kids of East Whatcom have food during the Winter School Break. This program, the Winter Pantry Program, is one of many bright and shinning examples of her compassion and energy for building a healthier and more nourished community.

Cheryl Thompson, we appreciate you!
